Melissa embroidered a new favorite line, from The King and I....."Make believe that you are brave, and the trick will take you far." Felt, batting, embroidery thread.
Detailed embroidery from Amy. Cotton fabric, embroidery thread, filled with lavender. Mom keeps this in the car for a peaceful, easy ride. HA.
cozied coffees and potholders. Recycled wool, embroidery.

Amy and her friend Paul thought what better way to spend a day off then making an alligator out of whole wheat bread...FROM SCRATCH! Can't wait to take out the butter and say "Later Gator!"

Melissa made this. She loves mom. Embroidery, felt, picture transfer, buttons........
And this by Amy. Mod Podge'd leaves, a branch, and red thread. This has lasted for two years now. The leaves "drift" when the heat comes on.
And, another craft by mom; P.P., a groundhog, in deference to Ground Hog Day. Crafted from a recycled sweater. The eyes are closed because there is NO WAY that spring is coming any time soon to the North East. P.P. is sitting on a French Press Cozy embroidered with hearts as a gift for Valentine's Day.

for some babies I know

CRAZY laptop bags, made with wool coat scraps, embroidery, and calico (cotton lining).

mom goes first

Mom likes to embroider pieces of recycled wool felt, add a button, and create "cozies" for french presses, "to go" cups, and coffee cups (these need a button, too, to go under the handle.)
